Jesus was not the kind of Messiah that was expected - even John the Baptist had his doubts. Conflicts with the Jewish leaders were intensifying, and people doubted his authority. He was not ushering in the type of Kindom of God they had anticipated. Was Jesus wrong? Did they just not understand? Jesus addressed these questions with parables, the first of which is the "Parable of the Sower." This Sunday, we looked at the parable, and saw what it has to say about the Kindom of God.
