This week, we continued a two-week focus on abundance and gratitude to ready our hearts and minds for Thanksgiving and beyond. We never really conclude such a focus, for plentiful plates of abundance and overflowing cups of grace are always being served in the beloved community.
Hanging in my kitchen is a dish towel that reads “cup of grace.” It was given to me in gratitude for stories shared of grace received and given by God’s beloveds. The towel is a daily reminder, as I turn on the kitchen light and greet each new morning, that grace is poured out for all and in all times. From such abundance of life and grace, we live and move freely in gratitude. As a cup of coffee might fuel your brain, the cup of grace fuels your heart and awakens expression of gratitude from which to serve and love at God’s table in the kindom. Let us enter into God's presence with a joyful song as we reflect on PSALM 100.
Your place is set at the Table of Grace. Let us partake together, responding in gratitude for the goodness of God.
