TOUCHSTONE COMMUNITY CHURCH WORSHIP SERVICE
SUNDAY, AUG. 29, 2021
[Pastor Billie's last sermon as she enters retirement]
We learn in scripture (Ecclesiastes 3:1-8) that there is a season for everything. I’ve never felt that more keenly than now. Some seasons leave a lasting imprint on our lives and hearts. My season as pastor to YOU has been that kind: life-changing and heart-filling. Actually, I am overflowing, truth be told - overflowing with gratitude and love for the privilege of being part of Touchstone’s beginning. We just never know where the twists and turns in life will take us…for me, it led me to Touchstone.
This Sunday was my last Sunday to serve as one of your pastors. I asked that you Indulge me a bit as I reflected on our time together and celebrated what lies ahead – believing that the best is yet to be. The choir sang… prayers were offered… the feast of communion was shared… and love was simply divine.
Friends joined us masked in-person and online, as I expressed my love and left you with a blessing one more time. Seeing each of you was all I needed to “go in peace” — the shalom of wholeness, completeness, and harmony, for there is no one like YOU!

With a grateful heart, Billie (she, her, hers)
